Alongside having driven technology adoption with one of the largest AV systems integrators in Australia, Myke has also long worked helping creatives not just express themselves, but set themselves up to actually thrive. Starting out as a drummer in high school before diving headfirst into Melbourne’s electronic music scene, Myke developed an early instinct for a natural performatitive style DJing. What began in clubs and community radio evolved into a lifelong creative practice spanning studio production, independent film scoring, DJ residencies, event performance and tour production, plus six years co-hosting a live radio show on JOY 94.9 - all grounded in a deep love for music culture and storytelling. Parallel to his creative path, Myke built serious technical and business foundations. With degrees in Computer Science and Music, plus years working across music retail, education, and Category Management of Music Technology at Allans Music / Australian Music Group, he developed the systems thinking and financial literacy many artists never get taught but desperately need. That blend of artistry and structure became his edge. As a long-time Music Business and Production lecturer at JMC Academy, Myke has mentored hundreds of emerging creatives, breaking down the “boring but essential” stuff including tax, registrations, BAS, contracts, budgeting, and business setup into clear, empowering tools. His approach removes overwhelm and replaces it with confidence, helping artists treat their careers like sustainable ventures, not chaotic side hustles. Recently through his podcast Real InSight with Myke Ireland, he expanded that mission further teaching authentic storytelling, content clarity, and communication strategies that cut through the noise and actually connect.
