Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Stefan began his career running his own studio and working alongside Grammy-winning producer Darryl Torr. His engineering credits from this era include some of South Africa’s most influential acts such as Die Antwoord, Zebra & Giraffe, and Gangs of Ballet. In 2015, Stefan relocated to Australia and joined the prestigious Studios 301 in Sydney, quickly earning recognition for his dynamic range and technical expertise. Stefan’s work spans genres and continents, with credits on major projects including Mac Miller’s Circles, and collaborations with global icons like Coldplay, Zedd, Elton John, Katy Perry, and YG. Locally, he’s partnered with top Australian acts including Vera Blue, Thelma Plum, Delta Goodrem, and Guy Sebastian. His contributions have featured on UK #1 albums, BRIT Award-winning projects, and have amassed over 500 million streams. Currently the Program Manager and Lead Trainer at Abbey Road Institute Australia, Stefan brings his wealth of experience into the classroom, guiding students through every stage of music production—from initial demo to final master. His teaching emphasizes real-world application, creative collaboration, and technical precision. Awarded Mixing Engineer of the Year by the Music Producer and Engineers’ Guild for two consecutive years, Stefan continues to lead by example in the studio and the classroom. He also runs his own label, Interface Records, dedicated to fostering emerging talent and producing fresh, innovative music. Choose a Casual or Package Mentoring Session Option Below and select from a first Available Time: Choose an appointment option below and complete your booking payment. (If you select the package of 3 make sure you select 3 days and time slots to book before you get to the payment gateway and ensure you leave enough time between sessions to reflect and prepare!) 🤝2. Check out your Confirmation Email Link Within 5 - 10 minutes you'll receive an email confirmation and an appointment to add to your calendar to work towards - there are key questions to make sure you are clear on prior to any initial mentor meeting to fill out so we're ready at least 24 hours before your session - but as soon as possible is best! 🎯 3. Prepare to target Specific Goals in your Session Make sure you come into the sessions open minded, fresh, and ready to make the session effective. Think about your 1, 3, 6 and 12 month goals - share them and consider what you need to achieve them. 🔥 4.
