YO! MAFIA didn't build her career on an algorithm.
She built it on 27 years of reading rooms, moving crowds, and showing up from 103,000-person basketball arenas to the main stage at Fridayz Live alongside Mariah Carey, Pitbull, and Janet Jackson.
Melbourne-based and internationally road-tested, YO! MAFIA is one of Australia's most enduring and versatile DJs, a hip-hop junkie, sneaker freak, and self-described "International Party DJ" whose career spans every format the industry has to offer. Born from a genuine love of hip-hop culture and a relentless work ethic, she has spent over two decades building a reputation that doesn't rely on a single lane. Moving fluidly between club residencies, festival main stages, national radio, major sporting events, arena tours, original stage productions, and premium brand activations without ever losing the thread of what makes her distinctly her.
As the DJ residency for Fridayz Live, Australia's biggest R&B touring concert, YO! MAFIA has held the decks across every edition of the event, playing to 60,000+ crowds nationally and supporting some of the world's most iconic acts including Mariah Carey, Pitbull, Wiz Khalifa, Usher, Janet Jackson, TLC, Macklemore, Black Eyed Peas, 50 Cent, Salt N Pepa, and Naughty By Nature. Her role is not just to fill time between sets, she sets the tone for the entire night from the moment doors open to the last mic drop, a responsibility that demands both technical mastery and an acute understanding of how to sustain energy across a 60,000-person room for hours at a time.
Her sporting event CV is in a category of its own. YO! MAFIA has performed at the Australian Open, the Australian F1 Grand Prix starting line and main stage, the Melbourne Cup's Penfolds and Crown Birdcage, the AFLW Grand Final, the A-League Women's Soccer Grand Final half-time show, AFL Magic Round, NRL Magic Round, the Bledisloe Cup, Cricket Australia events, and a USA Basketball vs Australia game to a crowd exceeding 103,000 people. These are not typical DJ bookings — they are high-stakes, high-visibility activations where the DJ must deliver across wildly different demographics, energy levels, and event formats, often with minimal soundcheck time and zero room for error.
On radio, she has been a consistent presence across Hit Network's RNB Fridayz, Triple J's Mix Up and Hip Hop Show, Double J with Tim Shiel, and Kiss FM — demonstrating an ability to translate her live energy into broadcast performance, an entirely different skill set that few DJs develop with the same depth.
Her VDJ work represents one of the most distinctive chapters of her career. In 2018, YO! MAFIA developed and debuted Back To YO! Future, a fully self-produced VDJ show that combined her love of pop culture, throwback hip-hop, and custom visual storytelling into a live experience unlike anything else in Australian DJ culture at the time. Every element of the show — the music video sourcing, the graphic design, the YO! MAFIA branded visual pops and illustrations, the editing, the curation, and the live execution — was produced by her personally. Each performance is completely bespoke to the event, rebuilt from scratch to reflect the specific audience, occasion, and mood. It is not a template; it is a craft.
That same creative ambition drove the development of HEY DJ, A History of Hip Hop, which premiered at the Adelaide Fringe's Gluttony venue hub in February 2025 to seven sold-out shows before moving into national touring. A celebration of hip-hop's 50-year history rooted in the spirit of the 1973 South Bronx block party that started it all, the show brought together a cast including vocalist Eliza Wolfgramm from The Avalanches, dancers Jenna Walasek from the Havana Brown touring camp, Charlotte Lewis from the Jessica Mauboy touring camp, and B-Boy Sette from 360 AllStars, alongside local hip-hop artists in each city. YO! MAFIA conceived, produced, and headlined the show, positioning herself not just as a DJ but as a creative director and live entertainment producer operating at a genuinely professional touring level.
Her brand partnership roster reflects the same breadth. Corporate and brand clients have included Nike, Adidas, Reebok, G-Shock, Oakley, Channel 10, MTV, and Nova across events, launches, and activations — as well as the National Gallery of Victoria, where she performed a live DJ set in December 2025 for the Fri Nights NGV program tied to the Vivienne Westwood and Rei Kawakubo exhibition, blending UK punk, pop, new wave, soul, funk, and R&B into a single live mix that demonstrated the full range of her musical knowledge beyond hip-hop. Working closely with corporate powerhouses across luxury fashion, sportswear, and media, her reputation in this space is built on being discreet, professional, fully briefed, and consistently able to read what a room of suits and VIPs needs just as well as what a festival crowd does.
Managed by Mushroom Group and with a career built almost entirely on word of mouth, repeat bookings, and an instinct for what makes a room move, YO! MAFIA brings 27 years of hard-won, real-world DJ knowledge to every conversation.
